And another amazing book by my beloved CoHo! This is a very easy romance, super chilled, pretty predictable but still very fun to read. Here's a little summary:

"Ugly Love" is a contemporary romance novel written by Colleen Hoover. The story revolves around Tate Collins, a nursing student who moves into her brother's apartment in San Francisco. There, she meets Miles Archer, a pilot with a troubled past who lives across the hall. Miles is emotionally scarred from a tragedy in his life and has sworn off love.
As Tate and Miles become friends, they can't deny their intense attraction to each other. They agree to a no-strings-attached physical relationship, but emotional complications arise as they both struggle with their feelings. Tate becomes determined to uncover the secrets of Miles' painful past and help him heal.
The novel delves into themes of love, loss, forgiveness, and personal growth. It explores how two damaged individuals find solace and healing in each other's company, even when they initially resist the idea of love. Colleen Hoover's writing is known for its emotional depth, and "Ugly Love" is no exception, offering a compelling and sometimes heart-wrenching exploration of the complexities of human relationships.

You know, it's your typical weirdly they met, didn't like each other but felt attracted, decided to-do an only physical kinda of love. She fell hard (so did he), she wanted to change him, but his traumatising past wouldn't go away, then we broke down and fell in love. End of story.
In general I did like this book, it was a fun summer read (read it in about a week) but nothing super WOW or THIS IS SO AMAZ! nope. just you typical romance.
One of the strengths of the book lies in its well-drawn characters. Tate and Miles are complex and relatable individuals, each carrying their own emotional baggage. Hoover delves into their pasts and vulnerabilities, allowing readers to connect with their struggles and root for their healing and happiness.
The dual timeline narrative, with alternating chapters between the past and present, adds layers to the story, gradually revealing the secrets and traumas that have shaped Miles' character. It keeps readers engaged and invested in uncovering the full truth.
However, some readers have noted that the novel includes explicit content, so it may not be suitable for all audiences. Additionally, the ending, while emotionally satisfying, may feel somewhat predictable to readers familiar with the romance genre.

In conclusion, "Ugly Love" is a beautifully written and emotionally charged romance novel that explores themes of love, healing, and forgiveness. Colleen Hoover's storytelling prowess shines through, creating a narrative that resonates with readers on an emotional level. Fans of contemporary romance, especially those who appreciate well-developed characters and intense chemistry, are likely to find "Ugly Love" to be a compelling and heartfelt read.
Oh, and another disclaimer! A lot of people have said this book is inappropriate for young readers... well ladies and gents CoHo's book in general are rated 16 or 18+ so please don't give anyone younger these types of books and please don't expect anything more from Collen's book. Seriously people.
All in all, a cute cosy book. 8/10
